I'm Facing Illness

You are not alone in this

“The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.”

Psalm 34:18

Today's Hope

Peace in the Middle of Uncertainty

“Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”

Philippians 4:6-7

“Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”

John 14:27

Uncertainty is exhausting. Test results, changing plans, and unanswered questions can steal your rest. Peace does not mean having all the answers — it means resting your heart in the One who does. You can bring your "what ifs" to God without pretending they do not scare you.

For today: Breathe slowly and repeat: "God is with me in what I do not yet know."

“Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God.”

Isaiah 41:10

Waiting for Test Results

Prince of Peace, the waiting is sometimes harder than the news itself. My mind keeps rehearsing every possibility and my heart races ahead into fears I cannot control. Slow me down. Help me breathe. Remind me that You already know what the results will show — and that Your love for me does not depend on them. While I wait, guard my thoughts. Keep me from imagining the worst again and again. Give me enough peace to get through this day, and trusted people to lean on if the news is hard. Amen.

“My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.”

Do Not Be Afraid

Fear is a natural response to sickness. God's Word does not shame your fear — it meets it with His presence.

“Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.”

Isaiah 41:10

“Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.”

Joshua 1:9

“And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying.”

Revelation 21:4
