I'm Facing Illness

You are not alone in this

“The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.”

Psalm 34:18

Today's Hope

God Is With You Today

“And the LORD, he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed.”

Deuteronomy 31:8

“Lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”

Matthew 28:20

Illness can make a room feel lonely — even when people are nearby. You may wonder if God has stepped back while you wait, hurt, or wonder what comes next. He has not. Scripture does not promise that today will be easy, but it does promise that you are not walking through it alone. The same God who goes before you is with you in this very hour.

For today: Pause and whisper His name. You do not need perfect words — only honest ones.

“Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God.”

Isaiah 41:10

Morning Prayer During Illness

Loving Father, the morning has come and I am still here — still breathing, still held by You. My body may feel weak and my mind may already be tired, but I thank You that Your mercies are new this morning. Walk with me through whatever today brings: the appointments, the discomfort, the moments I cannot plan for. When I am afraid, remind me that You are near. When I feel alone, let me sense Your presence. Give me grace for this day only — not the whole journey at once. I place myself in Your gentle hands. Amen.

“My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.”

2 Corinthians 12:9

Psalm 34:18

“The LORD is nigh unto all them that call upon him, to all that call upon him in truth.”

Psalm 145:18

“Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you.”

James 4:8

“And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying.”

Revelation 21:4
